La porte St Nicolas fut construite entre 1603 et 1608. Elle tire son nom de la ville de St Nicolas de Port en direction de laquelle elle s'ouvre.Sur la première photo sont représentées les armoieries de la ville. Le chardon est son emblème et sa devise est : "qui s'y frotte s'y pique" en allusion à la défaite de Charles le téméraire durant la bataille de Nancy en 1477.
The St Nicolas gate was built between 1603 and 1608. This gate is in the direction of the town of St Nicolas de port.
